چکیده

Objectives: Palmoplantar warts are a challenge to treat. Standard treatment methods include electrocautery, radiofrequency ablation and cryosurgery, carbon dioxide laser, Erbium-doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet which ablative, invasive, have downtime. Non-ablative lasers like pulsed dye laser long-pulsed Neodymium: Yttrium-Aluminum-Garnet (Nd: YAG) been tried earlier for the of overcome these deficiencies. The aim study was assess efficacy safety 1064 nm Nd: YAG in palmoplantar warts. Material Methods: Eleven adult subjects with total 58 hand foot were enrolled clinical trial from January 2016 2017 receive laser. thick hyperkeratotic part wart removed by paring then lesion treated, at monthly intervals four sessions or until clearance Response assessed beginning, before each session after final treatment. Results: A 8 52 completed study. Forty (76.9%) showed complete 2 (3.8%) marked improvement. Ten (19.2%) did not get cleared. average number 2.2. Mild pain noticed during procedure. There no wound, infection bandages required Post-inflammatory pigmentation scarring observed any case. Conclusion: Long-pulsed is safe, effective, non-destructive, relatively painless

Comparison of 585 nm with 595 nm pulsed dye laser in the treatment of warts

Background and aim : The clinical management of verrucae vulgaris is often challenging and no treatment is always effective. Early studies have suggested that pulsed-dye laser (PDL) may be highly effective in the treatment of verrucae through obliteration of dilated vessels in papillary dermis. The objective of this study was to compare safety and efficacy of 585 nm with 595 nm PDL in the...

The dual toning technique for melasma treatment with the 1064 nm Nd: YAG laser: A preliminary study.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Melasma is a treatment-resistant and acquired pigmentary facial skin condition of uncertain etiology particularly prevalent in the older Asian female. Traditional bleaching agents have offered some success. Intense pulsed light (IPL), fractionated nonablative and more recently ablative laser technology have also been used, but were associated with postoperative hyperpigmenta...

QCW Pulsed Nd:YAG 1064 nm Laser Lipolysis

The aim of this study was to evaluate the rapidly growing use of Nd:YAG 1064 nm lasers for laser lipolysis, and to compare this wavelength with other wavelengths used for laser lipolysis in terms of safety and efficacy. The wavelength dependence of laser lipolysis was simulated using a Monte Carlo computer simulation. The results show that the Nd:YAG 1064 nm wavelength is the optimal wavelength...

1064-nm Nd: YAG laser-assisted cartilage reshaping for treating ear protrusions.

BACKGROUND Correction of prominent ears is a common plastic surgical procedure. The laser-assisted cartilage reshaping (LACR) technique for protruding ears was developed at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research in Lille, France, using both the 1064- and 1540-nm wavelengths, with a view to simplifying the surgical procedure. Herein we report our results with the 1064-nm wa...

Long-pulsed Nd: YAG Laser and Intense Pulse Light-755 nm for Idiopathic Facial Hirsutism: A Comparative Study

BACKGROUND Hirsutism means excessive terminal hair growth in a female in male pattern distribution. Perception of hirsutism is subjective. Permanent laser hair reduction is a slow process taking many sessions and tracking of improvement parameters is tedious. Hence, a lot of confusion still exists regarding the type of laser most beneficial for treatment. AIM The aim of this study was to comp...
